Answers for Smarter Cargo Visibility

Everything you need to know about VYND smart seals, cargo intelligence and getting started.

About VYND

VYND is a cargo intelligence platform for high-value shipments, powered by connected smart seals.

It brings cargo location, journey progress, arrival information and security events into one shipment record, helping your team understand where cargo is, what is happening along the way and which shipments need attention.

Knowing where cargo is only tells part of the story.

VYND connects location with journey progress, seal events, handling alerts and other exceptions, giving your team a clearer picture of what is happening to each shipment.

Instead of simply following a dot on a map, you can identify shipments that need attention, investigate events and review the journey in one place.

No. VYND is designed to complement your existing systems by adding shipment-level visibility and security intelligence.

Integration requirements can be discussed based on your current systems and operational needs.

Yes. You can pull smart seal data from the VYND platform via API, receive updates through webhooks and redirect users to a partner interface.

VYND is designed for organisations responsible for valuable or high-risk cargo moving through complex supply chains.

It can be deployed across high-volume operations or used selectively on specific shipments and routes where additional visibility and security monitoring are needed.

VYND supports road, rail and ocean transport, connecting the different legs of a journey within one shipment record.

Smart Seals & Hardware

VYND combines a physical cargo seal with a connected tracking device.

The seal is linked to a shipment using its unique identifier and QR code. Once activated, it reports location and movement information according to its configured reporting schedule.

This connects the physical security of the cargo with a digital record of its journey.

Yes. VYND smart seals are designed for a single cargo journey.

There is no need to retrieve, recharge or return the device after delivery, making them suitable for one-way shipments and complex international supply chains.

Both products connect physical cargo security with digital shipment visibility.

The appropriate seal depends on the cargo, transport equipment and access point being secured. Our team can help you select the right option for your operation.

Explore Our Smart Seals

Yes. VYND records seal-cut events and uses the shipment's destination information to determine how the event is classified.

A seal cut at the destination is recorded as part of the delivery journey. A seal cut away from the destination can trigger a critical security alert, allowing your team to investigate.

A seal-cut alert indicates a possible security incident; it does not, by itself, confirm theft or establish what happened to the cargo.

After a cut, the seal continues reporting satellite-derived locations every few minutes for roughly a day, until the battery drains. Updates depend on cellular coverage and a satellite fix, helping you follow a seal cut before arrival.

Yes. VYND offers custom branding for smart seals, allowing businesses and channel partners to offer our technology under their own brand.

Customisation is available subject to minimum order quantities and additional production costs. Contact our team to discuss your branding requirements, estimated order volumes and available options.

Cargo Visibility & Intelligence

Yes. The VYND dashboard brings your active shipments into one operational view.

You can review shipment status, location and progress, and filter the information to focus on shipments that need attention rather than monitoring every shipment individually.

VYND can identify events such as seal cuts, delays, rough handling, route deviations and geofence violations.

These events are connected to the relevant shipment, helping your team understand what happened and where to investigate.

Geofences are virtual boundaries around locations or areas relevant to your cargo journey.

With VYND, you can configure rules for areas a shipment should not enter, locations it should not leave, or places where it should not remain beyond an allowed period.

When a configured rule is breached, VYND generates an event so your team can investigate.

Yes. Each shipment has a connected journey record showing its transport legs, reported locations, milestones and relevant events.

This gives your team a clearer way to review what happened during transit without having to piece together information from multiple carriers or systems.

VYND provides a timestamped record of reported locations and relevant shipment events.

This information can help your team establish when an event was recorded, where the shipment was reported to be and what happened before and after the event.

The record can also provide supporting information for internal investigations, customer discussions and claims reviews.

Yes. VYND displays arrival information within the shipment record, helping teams monitor journey progress and identify delays.

The accuracy and availability of arrival information depend on the shipment information and available tracking data.

Yes. You can share access to an individual shipment without giving the recipient access to your wider operation.

This allows customers and other authorised stakeholders to follow the relevant shipment themselves, reducing the need for repeated status requests.

Connectivity & Reporting

VYND provides connected shipment tracking, with reporting frequency varying according to transport mode, movement, connectivity and device conditions.

Updates are not continuous. The platform displays the latest available reported position so your team can see when the information was last received.

When a reliable GPS position is unavailable, VYND may use approximate cell-tower positioning, where supported.

The platform indicates the positioning source and estimated accuracy, helping users distinguish an approximate location from a GPS position.

Reporting can also be delayed when connectivity is limited. The latest reported position should not be interpreted as confirmation of the shipment's current location.

Yes. VYND connects a uniquely identified smart seal with a shipment record containing reported locations, milestones and relevant security events.

This provides a traceable record that can support chain-of-custody processes and incident reviews.

VYND's shipment and event history can provide supporting information for a claim, including reported locations and the timing of relevant events.

It does not replace an insurer's investigation or guarantee a particular claims outcome.

Getting Started

Deployment depends on your routes, shipment volumes, monitoring requirements and any integration needs.

Many customers begin with a defined pilot before expanding to additional routes or regions.

Our team will work with you to establish the appropriate scope and deployment plan.

Yes. A pilot is a practical way to evaluate VYND against your own cargo journeys and operational requirements.

We can help define the routes, shipment volumes and success measures so your team can assess the results before planning a wider deployment.

VYND is designed to fit into existing cargo workflows.

Its single-use smart seals do not require permanent installation or device recovery, and the platform can be introduced on selected routes or shipments without replacing your existing operational systems.
